The Impacts Of Population Aging On China’s Basic Endowment Insurance For Urban Workers

Recent years, the problem of population aging is getting critical. The rate of population expanding gets slower while the rate of aged people gets higher. With the accelerating of aging process, aging - people- caring has become the focal point of government, scholars and the common people. This paper takes the question of the impacts of population aging on China’s basic endowment insurance for urban workers for discussion, to reveal the relation between them and to give advice to China’s endowment insurance system.Firstly, this paper introduced the background,purpose and significance, then briefly summarized the current situation of population aging and endow insurance system of domestic and overseas. Secodly, introduced the relevant concepts and theories. Thirdly, predicted China’s population of 2015-2050 based on the model of people development, to move forward a single step, predicted the population of aged people, labor people and total people. Form analysis of the proportion, we found that labor people is falling while the others are climbing. Fourthly, predicted income and expenses of basic endowment insurance for urban workers among 2015-2050 based on the model of aging caring fund balance of payments. We found fund insufficiency from 2029 of China’s endowment insurance. Finally, analyzed the impacts of population aging on China’s basic endowment insurance for urban workers from endowment insurance fund payments, fund insufficiency, rate of payments, retire age.From the analysis above, this paper gives advice to perfect China’s endowment insurance system:widen scopes of basic endowment insurance, defer retire age limits, increase finance support.
