The wealth of the rich imagination is uniquely human, also is a important impetus of the development of human, is each to study painting and art must have the basic quality of children. "Through the fine arts teaching, develop the students’ ability of observation, image memory, imagination and creativity." Also the elementary school fine arts teaching outline clear requirements. So by developing students’ imagination in order to promote children’s painting is also very important. As a traditional Chinese painting art works of Chinese paintings, no matter from the historical origin, tools, materials, or painting language, cultural quality, as well as the characteristics of art in the world art history is unique, it embodied the Oriental aesthetics, which also reflects China’s unique philosophy. This paper based on the children’s imagination guide primary school grade five of ink painting teaching, let students feel not the same as Chinese ink painting, attract students of Chinese ink and wash, and further discussed on the basis of the children’s imagination guide to the characteristics of ink painting teaching in the elementary school fine arts curriculum, significance, problems and solution strategy. In research methods, using the method of literature, investigation method, experience method. To elementary school students as the research object, the researchers of ink painting teaching in fifth grade teacher’s role, working with their class was the art teacher observation, guide primary ink painting with children’s imagination on the basis of teaching process and characteristics. Through the study found that, on the basis of children’s imagination guide primary school teaching of ink painting, stimulate students’ creative thinking, according to the students on the degree of control of ink painting techniques, adopt suitable teaching curriculum design, can improve the students’ interest in ink painting learning, enhance the confidence of study, helping students experience of Chinese ink and wash plain and boring, as well as the dense dripping wet ink flavor and the characteristics of image modelling of painting.
