The goal of children painting education is not to nurture children painter, but to promote the comprehensive development of them. The stage of pre-school education is the most important period for the children’s capacity development. So the healthy development of the children is the first aim. The pre-school art education can give full play to it’s education function. Then pre-school art education can promote the children’s ability of thinking, intelligence, imagination and even the comprehensive development.But according to this paper’s investigation, the traditional indoctrination methods in painting education are still abound. This method regards the children as a container which absorbs painting skills. Then the children are not given enough space to think. And even worse the development of their ability is ignored completely. So this paper tries to discuss and analyses the feasibility of the suggestive teaching method in pre-school art education, and then improve this shortcoming.Firstly, the suggestive teaching method is full of pleasure, ambiguity, stimulation and acceptance. This character of the pre-school education is fully filled with active thinking and exploration spirit. So the suggestive teaching method is compatible with the children’s age. Secondly, children have great advantage in accepting suggestion. Children have not so many psychological pressures and keep independent in front of external influence. Finally, compared with primary and secondary schools the art education in kindergarten unnecessarily complies with the fixed books, so the education design is becomes more flexible. And then teachers can select the proper education context and method according to the fact in education.The suggestive teaching method gives enough attention to the subjectivity and enthusiasm of children. Then the painting classes are filled with videos, music and games that children are interested in. By guiding them to think independently, giving them enough space for free expression and developing their imagination capacity teachers can really realize pleasure education. And meanwhile the painting skills, wisdom potentials and children’s personality are all promoted obviously.Of course we can not apply suggestive teaching method to pre-school art education mechanically. We need to constantly adjust the teaching program by optimizing the suggestive element or simplifying the suggestive process in order to get with the age of children.
