Discipline is an important part of a university,but key discipline is the best and the most prominent part in the discipline groups, which plays a leading effect.Based on this, the Hebei provincial government attaches great importance to the construction of key disciplines, and puts a lot of manpower, material and financial resources. After several decades, the construction of key disciplines has also made some achievements, but there are still a number of issues. Under such background, evaluating the construction of key disciplines of Hebei Province is significant.On the basis of the studies of the construction of key disciplines at home and abroad,a performance evaluation system of the construction of key disciplines has been established based on input-output theory in this paper. The weights of the indicators in the system are determined by borrowing the Analytic Hierarchy Process. Then, using the methods of matrix diagram and data envelopment analysis, the author makes an empirical analysis of the H University in Hebei,and obtains a lower efficiency for parts of the construction of key disciplines of H university. Finally, in order to effectively improve the construction level of key disciplines of Hebei Province,I make a series of recommendations.
