Utahloy International School Guangzhou(UISGZ) is a truly global international school in Utahloy Education Foundation. It provides a dynamic and balanced education from kindergarten to high school. The school is authorized by the International Baccalaureate Organization to deliver the three IB programmes. Based on IB Primary Years Programme(PYP), through the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme(MYP), to the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme(IB DP), it provides dynamic and balanced curriculum frameworks for students.Language programme is the characteristics of Utahloy International School Guangzhou. The school is one of the few schools to offer home languages in the mainstream curriculum. The school offers the following six languages to students from PYP to DP : C hinese, Korean, French, German, Japanese, and Spanish. Meanwhile, as an international school which aims to enrich the development of students, it provides students chances to learn 5foreign languages. Chinese class is one of the main language class of them.This paper takes the UISGZ’s Chinese second language curriculum and Chinese-teaching as the research object.Use literature study, questionnaire, interview method, data collection method, comparative analysis and other research methods to make a comprehensive investigation of Chinese-teaching.I’m working in this school and can also provide detailed and vivid materials for this paper according to my own teaching experience and get to all aspects of teaching resource. Eventually conduct a comprehensive report of teaching object, teaching contents, teaching staff, teaching methods and so on in Chinese language course of this school, and then to find out the characteristics and problems of Chinese-teaching in international school, as well as the inspiration to the career of teaching Chinese as a foreign language in our country.
