The school belonging is a positive emotion of school physical environment, cultural environment, interpersonal environment by students. The students who have the stronger sense of school belonging will have the higher school satisfaction, and they will have a strong collective sense of honor and identify their school and classes. They can live in harmony with the teachers and students in the school, and have a positive emotional experience and dependence for their school, and they can also maintain a good interpersonal relationship.The school belonging of rural migrant children is the precondition with which they can adapt and incorporate into the urban living. So it means so much to us. Under the instruction of the theory of school belonging, and basing on the investigation and interview of 138 rural migrant children in the city of Xuzhou, the paper describes and analyses the status and influential factors of the school belonging of the rural migrant children in city area, and probe into how the elements which affect school belonging, mostly including the school adaptation, the campus relationships, the family, the condition of community and the general population.This paper investigates the current situation of the school belonging of rural migrant children, analyzes the various affecting factors and draws a conclusion. It tries to put forward constructive suggestions about school belonging’s development of rural migrant children, including three levels of school physical environment, human environment and social environment. Then it gives some advices for reference about the influence of teachers, friends, families and the rural migrant children. We hope to improve the existing conditions to enhance school belonging and security of the rural migrant children.
