Since 1990 s, China and England had been committed to curriculum reform.PE curriculum reform is an important part of curriculum reform,and both China and Britain had attached great importance to it.Based on the former reform and cultural background in China and Britain,methods including literature review,comparative analysis,expert interview is used in the paper to study different parts of PE curriculum,namely,curriculum subject,curriculum objectives, curriculum values orientation, principles of selecting subject,equipment settings,curriculum evaluations and curriculum management.The aim of this paper is to learn experience from England curriculum and provide references for future curriculum development.The outcomes are as follows,(1) No obvious differences exist between PE curriculum objectives in China and England.However,the learning field objectives in England is more specific;for the value orientation,China pays more attention to student comprehensive development but more social responsibility and civil awareness in England.(2) For subject settings, flexibility in selecting PE subject.and the principles of selecting subject include educational,scientific, practical,readable,differentiate and challenging.(3) For Curriculum evaluation model,people like teacher,student,parent are invited to do the evaluation.Moreover,TGAT have been created in England to evaluate the PE curriculum.For curriculum management,three-level management model have been used in China.In England,the department of education are searching the best way to balance the role of teacher-oriented management and government interference.
