Into the 21 st century, with the development of economic society and diversification of the cultural ideological trends, the ideology and values and ways of thinking of contemporary college students have become increasingly diverse and complex, which has raised new challenges for ideological and political education of college students and provided a favorable platform for re-recognizing Sinology education.Chinese culture is long-standing and well-established. Throughout 5000-year history of exploration and pursuit, Chinese descendants from generation to generation have worked hard to produce the profound Chinese culture which still deeply affects lives of every Chinese people. Chairman Xi Jinping has stressed more than once that learning and mastering the ideological essence of Chinese culture is conducive to establishment of a correct outlook on the world, life and values. Therefore, in the ideological and political education, it is advisable to make full use of education functions of sinology education to learn and explore the essence of sinology, so as to achieve its organic integration with the ideological and political education of college students, and inject the new vitality into the ideological and political education work.In this paper, on the basis of the relevant literature, an in-depth study is made of incorporating Sinology education into ideological and political education of college students. Firstly, in theory has an in-depth understanding to connotations and contents of Sinology and Sinology education, then the theoretical and policy basis for incorporating Sinology education into ideological and political education of college students is introduced, which lays a solid foundation for incorporating Sinology education into ideological and political education of college students. Secondly, based on an empirical analysis of Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology, making clear the Sinology education study is made of problems existing in educational subject and object, and has analyzed the reasons. Finally, in order to solve problems existing in the incorporation of Sinology education into ideological and political education of college students, attempts are made to develop some countermeasures, such as carefully choosing materials for Sinology education, improving measures of Sinology education, and building a mechanism to guarantee Sinology education and so on, so as to effectively enhance the effectiveness of ideological and political education of college students.
