A Research Into The Existing Problems With IT Education In Primary And Middle Schools Of Jiangdu District And Countermeasures

With the development of science and technology and the society,there is more and more integration of education and IT and tremendous development in educational modernization led by technological information.IT education is a necessary factor in information diversification and talent cultivation to develop information industry is the fundamental target of national IT education.Accordingly the research of the combination of information technology and education to gradually make information technology penetrate into education to promote the educational development is a subject of significant research value and practical importance for the time being.With the development of quality education and implementation of information technology education,IT education has been popularized to become compulsory and has made remarkable achievements.However,there are more requirements for IT education classes in information era and many problems to be dealt with in IT education of primary and middle schools due to various restrictions. Based on the above- mentioned background the research discusses the problems with IT education in primary and middle schools of Jiangdu district through questionnaires.Starting from the actual problems, the research analyzes the causes of the problems.In general,the research can be summarized as follows:First, through questionnaires the research makes a sampling survey of the present situation of Jiangdu district by choosing school leaders,teachers of IT education as well as students in twelve primary and middle schools of various levels in Jiangdu district as respondents.Second, from the analysis of the three major aspects of school leaders,teachers and students, the research finds that the causes of above-mentioned problems of IT education in primary and middle schools of Jiangdu district are as follows: the inadequate hardware investment in IT education construction,, the inadequate attention and lack of interest of students and the lack of information accomplishment of teachers etc.Last, according to the actual situation of Jiangdu district, the research puts forward four proposals: transformation of concepts of school leaders,more support from the government, improvement in Internet research and teaching levels, establishment of a new teaching model, active participation of students. It is hoped that the research can provide basis for IT education development in primary and middle schools of Jiangdu district as well as references and proposals for relevant departments.
