| Textbook,as learning resources and teaching tools,are the basis to attain teaching objectives and educational effect. The textbooks as a primary information dissemination media play an important role in teaching,and their position cannot ignore. After the new curriculum standard promulgated, it gives difficulty for presents higher request to the writers. Therefore, the research of the textbooks has become necessary.This article selects two sets of English textbooks in primary school published,which write by Yilin’s education press, for my research objects. I use the Literature Survey Method and the Interview Method to compare. By the study and comparison of the two textbooks in different periods, we can discover the development path of the teaching and education. Moreover,through the analysis of textbooks,we can analyze the merit and the demerit,then it is available to improve and innovate the textbooks.By analyzing of the textbooks, the writers can deepen their understanding to it, absorb of the excellent teaching material characteristics,and modify the shortage. Thereby, they can develop better and more useful English textbooks.For teachers,they need to change their concepts, combine the practical teaching needs, flexible and creative use teaching materials and infuse knowledge on the bases of analyzing and understanding the nature.The introduction of this article introduces the background of this research, and the research of the existing teaching materials at home and abroad through the literature review, which provides help for the writing of this thesis. At the same time, it also introduces the problems, contents and methods of the research.The first chapter introduces the basic spirit of English curriculum standard. On the one hand, because the curriculum standards and teaching materials have a close relationship, that is, the textbook is subject to the curriculum standards reflect the concept, objectives and content; on the other hand, good teaching material also plays a role in the curriculum standards, which helps to enrich and improve the content of curriculum standards. This chapter describes the basic concept, design ideas, curriculum objectives, content standards and textbook compilation principles of English curriculum standards in the one part.The second chapter introduces the comparison of the new and old English textbooks. First introduced the background of the times of the new and old textbooks, the two sets of teaching materials are the need to comply with the times, they are the production marks the material is constantly moving towards maturity and perfection. First, the new and old textbooks on the system structure, the unit and the unit plate are adjusted; second, in the interpretation of English language skills, language knowledge, emotional attitude, learning strategies and cultural awareness of these five dimensions, compared and analyzed the old and new textbooks. The old and new teaching materials have both common and difference.In the third chapter, the use of the new and the old version of the textbook is investigated. This chapter mainly uses the interview method to interview 15 teachers of the three districts. The selected interview object at least for the use of the old and new teaching materials, the new and old teaching materials are very familiar. The selected 15 teachers are also targeted, they are from different areas of the experimental primary school, ordinary primary school and migrant children school. They have a district subject leaders and ordinary teachers, male teachers and female teachers. According to the concept of curriculum standards, the interview outline was designed.The fourth chapter introduces the teachers’ initiative to adapt to the requirements of the new version of the textbook, and continuously improve the quality of English teaching. The new teaching material compared with the old teaching materials in the structure arrangement is more flexible, more difficult, the cultivation of students’ comprehensive ability proposed higher requirements. This requires us to take the initiative to adapt to the requirements of the new teaching materials, and continuously improve their teaching ability.Through the comparison between the old and new teaching materials, we can find that there is no good or bad in the teaching material, and have their own advantages and disadvantages. Because of the limitations of various conditions, environment and other factors, the old and new teaching materials have different development characteristics, according to the differences between the old and new teaching materials, teachers need to deal with the relationship between the old and new teaching materials and innovation. At the same time, the primary school English teaching material should be in line with the students’ ability to accept, make the teachers more easy to teach, students easier to learn. |
