"Suzhou-style history classroom", which is based on the regional history and culture of Suzhou and Suzhou students’ psychological characteristics and knowledge structure, embodies the characteristics of history and the Suzhou style teaching form. It should be smart and humanized, reflect the spirit of the new curriculum reform and the modernization of Suzhou education.The full text is divided into four parts. The introduction analyses the historical background, the significance and the definition of Suzhou-style classroom and Suzhou-style history classroom. In the first chapter, the present situation and problems of the history teaching in Suzhou are analyzed via questionnaire. In the second chapter, the author takes XingHai Experimental Middle School as an example, doing the exploration and practice of Suzhou-style history classroom. First of all, teachers should change their teaching ideas, put the human nature education in the highest level of history education. We should change the structure of the classroom teaching, change the teaching mode and learning mode. Then we make the integration of teaching materials and the history culture of Suzhou, develop local history curriculum resources and school based curriculum. On this basis, the author raises four connotations and characteristics of Suzhou-style classroom: exquisite and elegant, smart and interesting, open and innovative, harmonious and foresighted.In the final chapter, it describes the confusion and Countermeasure in the process of implementation.
