By doing the homework, the student can absorb of what they have learnt in class and on the other side this cultivates them. Also this can test the study effect and enhance their memory. But one fact that cannot ignore is the current homework assignment has many disadvantages, such as it was only designed for test purposes. Most of them was limited to the textbook and not practical; the homework is focused on memorization and repeat again and again, so this couldn’t improve students’innovation ability. To learn the history and cultivate the historical value have the direct impact on establishing their social value even affects the civil rights development and maintenance. The process of accomplishing the homework is also a process of improving their knowledge and ability. The emotion,value and wisdom also can be expressed by doing the work.Based on the investigation on the middle school history homework design and assignment, this paper put forward that the middle school homework design should adapt the requirement of educate the modernized and construction people. According to the character of the history and the common disadvantages in the current work, we regard that we should stick to the principle as well as to make it to be diversity, researchable, practical and open. By studying the method from abroad and experience from the excellent teachers from school and put them into practice of my class, we summarized a systematical, practical and effective way of assigning the homework. The homework is designed as in-time finishing work, systematically go over work, partial go-over work and open go over work. Each method will be explained in concept, significance and designing method. The students are under the heavy burden from the homework, by making this innovation to change their attitude of unwilling to do the work into making them like this subject, bring them with a new feeling and improve their learning ability and historical sense.
