The reform to basic education has been carried out for many years in the senior middle school and it is often referred to as the so-called education reform being forced reversely. Many different patterns of education reform have appeared with Khan and Du Lang kou education model being two of them, which also proves to us that the traditional teaching pattern requires changing. However, dispute comes when we decide how to change it and which direction we should go. Although there are a lot of different patterns for education reform, with many disappearing, the core of them is always the same, which is to make full use of the limited time and improve the efficiency of class teaching.The main task of this paper is to discuss about the efficiency of teaching history in senior middle school. To improve the efficiency of the class, we must first pay attention to the change of times as well as the people we teach. Different from us, the younger generation of the students was born in the information age. Therefore, they are much more accessible to the explosive information, which also makes it impossible for the teachers to be the only authority. They are delighted to express themselves, thus making a listener and platform to show themselves really important and necessary. All of these changes can’t be neglected when we are doing the research.This paper will be illustrated in four parts as the following.Part one is a general statement about the issue and the significance, background, methods and purpose of the research. Based on the previous study, this paper will absorb their advantages and use them as references.Part two is a discussion about effective teaching method. This will be illustrated as the following three segments:clear target of teaching, the guide of the teacher and the exploration by the students themselves. As a subject of art, history embraces a large quantity of materials. The teachers could give micro courseware, micro video and the teaching contents to the students in order to make the students study by themselves, enrich their knowledge and discuss freely with each other in class, based on the fact that they have already got the structure of the main knowledge points. This part will analyze it from the perspective of pre-assumption, generation and refection.Part three is the analysis of a case, which will take one class to present the class procedures mentioned in the previous text.Part four puts forward the principle of effective classroom. Effective classroom pay attention to some aspect. Effective classroom should be plain, true, rich and solid.lt improves classroom efficiency in a condensed form.
