With the national quality-oriented education and the strategy of rejuvenating the country through science and education, our elementary education develops gradually deep. The new class advocated nowadays is different from the old one where the teacher leads the class. It is the students who work as the leading factor, and the class is guided by the teacher. Its aim is to get students developed in an all-around way. Its tenet is to improve national quality. It can also raise the students’ideology and morality, meet the needs of students’lifelong development, and cultivate students’ ability of life-long learning. As more and more important part of CEE(college entrance examination) enrollment target, Art students draw more and more attention from all sectors of the society. This essay, based on the author’s practical teaching experience, introduces the art students’Geography curriculum. In addition to related academic learning, they also learn specialized courses of arts. In Hebei province, middle school geography doesn’t belong to the high school entrance examination subjects, which causes the ninth graders not to learn Geography courses. It leads to the incoherence of geographical knowledge, to a certain extent, and contributed to the difficulty of later Geography teaching in high schools. But the art students have their own characteristics:active thought, strong spatial imagination ability, good image processing capacity, more careful in observing things, seriousness and competitiveness. They have definite advantages in learning Geography but also some problems, like weak basic knowledge background, careless learning attitude, wrong leaning strategy, bad learning habits and lack of the sense of being disciplined. Only by overcoming these problems can they study Geography well.It requires the teachers at present to do more and do some adjustments at the advantages and weaknesses to form the role changing in the teaching procedure by making the students learning it well and constantly. The teachers should also act as the promoter, advocator, cooperator and inspirator for them to learn it well; that is to say, they should get students to know the practical meaning of Geography learning, motivate them to learn, encourage them to discover the phenomenon happened in daily life, direct them to complete the whole knowledge system and mater the correct Geography learning strategy. The students can also be divided into groups and get them involved in taking part in the class teaching activities by group cooperation to build up confidence in leaning it well.The teachers should also introspect themselves in different teaching process to develop the teaching level. It should also be paid attention to by teachers in daily teaching that the art students need to be motivated to get the useful Geography knowledge and the lifelong meaningful Geography-knowledge. They should also be taught how to read the map. analyze it. locate the space and answer the exams well. It also needs teachers to care about the physical and mental state of students to help them to attend the CEE. in the best condition and get pleasant results in the exam.
