Object:This study takes the junior high school students as the research object,investigates their stressful life events, psychological resilience and mental health in depth,analyses the relationship between the three variables. And test the intermediary role of psychological resilience between stressful events and mental health in the junior high school students which will provide reference for research of junior high school students’ mental health development and mental health education of junior high school students.Methods:Three research methodologies are applied in the study. The first is the investigation method of the questionnaire, three junior high school of Qiqihar city were randomly selected, and the life stress, resilience, mental health of 397 students in the three junior high school were investigated; the second is the literature research method, many kinds of literature were collected and analyzed according to the research object, which provided theoretical and objective basis for the research; the third is comparative research method, the differences of scores on gender, only child or not, and student cadres or not were compared separately to illustrate the influence of demographic variables.Results:397 junior high school students of three schools had been investigated. The mean value of the ALSEC is 35.92 which indicates that the stress level of the students is not high. The mean value of the HKRA is 141.04 which indicates that the junior high school students’ psychological resilience level is generally high. The mean score of the MHS is 126.69 which has exceeded the critical value of mental health problems in the MHS. It explains that there are generally mild mental health problems in the junior high school students. Using statistical software to analyze the correlation between the above three variables can conclude that psychological resilience is negatively correlated with stressful events and mental health. Psychological resilience has mediating effect between life stress and mental health partly.Conclusion:Psychological resilience can relieve the effect which stressful events act on mental health.Improve the level of psychological resilience of junior high school students can help students to cope with life stress well and protect mental health.
