With the reform and opening up of China, and because of the growing strength of China, the importance of learning the Chinese language has become more and more important, especially in Southeast Asia. In addition to the overseas Chinese, more and more people choose Chinese as their second language. As a volunteer Chinese teacher in the Philippines, I discovered that students find Chinese characters difficult to learn.So the author chose the error analysis of this point, hoping to find out the errors of the students in this study and in so doing improve the learning efficiency of students in the study of Chinese characters. In this paper, the author takes the Chinese language learners of Grades 5 and 8 as the research object, and makes a classification of the errors in the Chinese characters learning. I hope that through this research, student errors in the learning of Chinese characters can be reduced, thereby contributing to the study of Chinese learning in the Philippines, and provide a reference for the promotion of Chinese language for future studies.
