Homework is an important part in chemistry teaching. It is a method for students to consolidate their knowledge and for teachers to test whether students have grasped the learned knowledge after class. Since it can develop students’ self-awareness and improve their learning ability, homeworks play a significant part in chemistry teaching. This paper included:The first part: after surveying the current situation of chemistry homeworks in the middle school, the author found that most of the homeworks were the unified model. Under the background of new courses, it needed a new homework design. Based on the existing chemistry homeworks’ researches in the middle school and in the high school, this paper discussed the disadvantages in the current chemistry homeworks, learned from the advanced theoretical knowledge in education, including constructivism theory, multiple intelligence theory, “zone of proximal development”theory and theory of multiple intelligence and thus proposed the personalized homeworks’ design and practice.The second part: in the process, the author looked through many domestic and foreign literature on assignment reform and made a literature review. It defined homeworks, homeworks’ design and personalized homeworks, and threw light on the purposes, theoretical significance and practical significance of this research.The third part: on the basis of education’s theories, literature review and practical teaching experience, the author put forward the principles of personalized homeworks’ design in Junior Three, namely hierarchy, moderation, independence and practicality. And it also provided strategies that personalized homework should be presented hierarchically, organized in groups and appreciated from different dimensions. In this part, the author put the personalized homework design in Junior Three into practice and discussed its effects.The fourth part is to apply personalized homework design to the actual teaching. The experimental classes and the general education classes knew whether personalized homework design would have an effect on the students’ interests in chemistry and the attitudes towards it through questionnaires. The experimental classes and the general education classes were tested in order, and then SPSS19.0 in Chinese was used to deal with the data. Eventually some typical students were interviewed individually. Through the analysis in many aspects, it found that personalized homework design could improve the students’ interest in chemistry, change their attitude towards study, and promote their grades.The fifth part is a conclusion and an expectation. Teachers should look at the students hierarchically and specifically improve the students’ learning ability from homework design and group strategy can create a good atmosphere for study from the perspective of the actual practice of homework.
