| Under the general background of China’s intensified tendency of aging population, the development of aged people in nursing homes in countryside is relatively slow, the management system and hardware facilities are relatively scarce, so the spare time of the aged people living in nursing homes are simple and their spiritual life are lack. The entertainment of aged people living in nursing homes in countryside are less, the lower spiritual life has seriously affected the later years of the aged people in countryside. With the increase of the age, the opportunities for rural elderly to participate in labor are significantly less, they got a lot of spare time after them went to live in the nursing homes, it is not only can enrich their spare time but also can delight their physical and psychological if the aged people can properly make good use of their spare time and actively participate in recreational activities. However, the recreational activities for the aged people in nursing homes are very few, most of them are simple activities, such as chat and play chess, the others are very few, these activities are difficult to raise the level of spiritual life of the aged people. This paper takes the aged people of K nursing home in Qing County, Hebei Province as the research object, it explore the theoretical and practical significance of the group work to meet the spiritual life of the elderly in countryside. It mainly use the theories and methods of group work to carry out activities, with the relevant person’s assist, the social worker completed the intervention of group work for spiritual life quality of the elderly in K nursing home and carry out relevant activities from the complete work process, such as the recruitment of team members, the initial stage, the middle stage, the last stage of the activities and so on. The group work can enhance the elderly to pay attention on the quality of spiritual life and enrich their spiritual and cultural life and guide the old people to develop good habits and let them set up an positive and healthy attitude toward life by making the team members participate in each link of the group activities. According to the development of the group, the author completed the process evaluation and result evaluation, and analyzed the effectiveness of group activities; according to the current situation of the spiritual life of the elderly in K nursing home and the development of group work, the author also putted forward the suggestions and countermeasures about the related activities of the group in later work for K nursing home to enhance the level of people’s cultural life of the elderly constantly and promote the continuous development of the group work. |
