Since 1950 s, "scientific literacy" concept has been continuously deepened and interpreted, and gradually introduced into the basic education, and increased to the level of education policy. Nowadays, with the development of new curriculum reform of basic education in our country, the idea of "scientific literacy" is to improve students’ scientific literacy and promote students’ all-round development. Junior middle school students are in the initial stage of physical learning and the critical period of physical literacy. The level of physical literacy of junior students will affect the learning and comprehensive development of students, and even influence the level of scientific literacy of the whole nation.This paper is a reference to the relevant literature, detailed scientific literacy and physical literacy of the concept and connotation, and further discuss the junior students should have physical literacy. The "junior high school students" physical literacy level survey questionnaire ", the Zhifu District of eight or nine junior high school students in the level of physical literacy survey and analysis of the status quo, combined with interview survey and personal experience, analysis of Zhifu District junior high school physical education and physical education in the presence of several problems. Combined with the practice of teaching reform, this article puts forward some strategies to Cultivate Junior Students’ physical quality, and puts forward some scientific and reasonable suggestions for the physical education in this school.This thesis is divided into four parts, the main research contents include:The first part: the development process, structure and connotation of scientific literacy, combining with the standard of compulsory education physics curriculum, the connotation of physical education and the physical qualities of junior school students, which include five aspects: physics subject knowledge, physical ability, physical discipline method, physical discipline quality and physical discipline consciousness.The second part: through the questionnaire survey method, analysis of Zhifu District junior high school students’ physical literacy level and the overall situation: the junior high school students to improve the level of physical literacy, the subjective consciousness, the information channel is narrow; mastered certain physical knowledge, but the ability of subjects is relatively low; physical thinking method is relatively simple, the use of low consciousness; physical learning interest, but scientific quality, attitude, values need to further strengthen.In the third part, the main problems in the current cultivation of physical education are pointed out: the main problems of the current cultivation of physical education are: Teachers’ teaching ideas can not be changed with the times; school based resources idle and teaching methods; family education and the deviation of the desired goal; the lack of social science education resources.The fourth part: combining with their own physical teaching practice, explore the cultivation strategy of junior students’ Physical Education: pay attention to physical concepts and laws, strengthen the physical education, develop the experimental teaching, cultivate scientific inquiry ability, actively carry out extracurricular activities, permeate STS education, and pay attention to the history of Physics education, infiltration method and humanistic spirit.
