History, which contains the fine Chinese traditions, is the most valuable spiritual culture remained during thousands of years in China. Thus history education is necessary for secondary vocational schools. When the students of secondary vocational schools are learning history, they not only get the knowledge, but also cultivate their morality. Learning in subject classes is the most effective way for them to cultivate morality, and compared with other subjects the school moral education in history has the best teaching materials. Reinforcing the history education and using it to permeate moral education have provided some new methods and new thoughts for moral education in secondary vocational schools.This article mainly discusses the roles of moral education of history in secondary vocational schools in order to improve the current history teaching and offer new approaches for moral education deficiency. Therefore, three parts are included:introduction, main part and conclusion.The introduction part contains the research background, research significance,thoughts of research methods and the related domestic and overseas research status.The main part is divided into three chapters. The first chapter contains some related concepts and definitions like secondary vocational education and subject moral education. Then based on Weihai city, through the survey results of seven secondary vocational schools’ supervisors, teachers, parents and students, the writer gets to know the current situation of history teaching and moral education, and then analyzes the reasons of moral education deficiency. These explanations and analysis are the background of the second chapter, which states the necessity of reinforcing the history education.The second chapter mainly discusses the roles of moral education of history subject in secondary vocational schools. This chapter explains history teaching plays a significant role in moral education through the following five parts: cultivating the patriotism of students, reinforcing the team spirits, strengthening their awareness of social responsibility, cultivating their spirits of innovation, and helping to form their complete personalities and correct ecological views.The third chapter is the key to the whole article. It mainly analyzes the ways of reinforcing history moral education. And according to the three approaches, which are“in class—to rely on history textbooks and spread the spirits of moral education”, “out of class—to arrange interesting activities and share the joy of moral education” and “in practice—to experience in person and comprehend the meaning of moral education ”,seven strategies are brought out. They separately are “suitable difficulty and experiencing success”, “using the comparison correctly and identifying the dispute ”,“explaining historical views and improving comprehension”, “playing roles and experiencing emotions”, “sharing thoughts and inspiring each other”, “connecting the current and ancient, and shortening the distance ” and “combining with the local,boosting emotions” and so on.Finally is the summary of the whole study. The indispensable roles of moral education of history are stated once again. And based on the writer’s personal experience, all the methods and approaches are effective. Ultimately, the writer shows his personal attitude to the further researches.
