Music education in primary and secondary schools in urban and rural areas is an important part of quality education. China’s 64.3% population in rural areas, rural primary and secondary school music education in the development of quality education, far behind the city, rural education is the important means for the development of rural areas to provide a successor, the village education situation is not optimistic, and the growing gap between urban education.The contents of this paper are: first, the background and significance of the topics and research content and purpose of the research, the relevant domestic and foreign research review; two, the concept of the subject of Baiquan County Music Education into a simple situation; three, from four aspects of Baiquan County, province in the music education survey,(a) school aspects(three) students(four) parents. Four, and part of the urban areas of the school’s comparative analysis, analysis of the main factors that cause the difference between urban and rural primary and secondary school music education. Five, according to the Baiquan county and rural primary and middle school music education differences between practical and feasible countermeasures.In short, this paper aims to find out the main reasons of the difference between the primary and middle school music education in the primary and Middle School of Baiquan County, and put forward the feasible suggestion through the research to find the main reason of the difference between the primary and middle school music education in the education fair. From the reality of the urban and rural primary and secondary school music education, the research on the current situation of the school development in urban and rural primary and middle school, the problem is found, and the causes of the problem are analyzed, and the differences between urban and rural music education are put forward. Based on the development of the music education in urban and rural areas, it is suggested that some basic work and feasible suggestions are made in the development of primary and secondary school music education.
