The 21st century is the rapid development of science and technology, information society, the information age requires talent insight into things, from the view of mathematics with the consciousness of mathematics to solve the problem. With the development of science and technology, mathematics this discipline more and more important, the scope of mathematics application is more and more widely, the status of mathematics education is becoming more and more critical accordingly. Cultivating high school students consciousness of mathematics application conforms to the characteristics of mathematics, conform to the requirements of the high school new curriculum standard, be widely recognized the social from all walks of life.Chapter one, introduction first expounds the consciousness of mathematics application the purpose, significance, and then simply introduces the research status at home and abroad, research methods and innovation. Chapter two is mainly about the overview of the concept of mathematics application consciousness, consciousness of mathematics, mathematics, mathematics application consciousness three concepts are expounded from several aspects. Chapter three through the questionnaire method, interview method, students, teachers’ attitude toward mathematics, teachers and textbooks of mathematics application consciousness, on mathematics activity partic ipation and so on were analyzed, and concluded that in the high school students in mathematics application consciousness and the reason has three aspects:the first is the textbook of factor, the second is evaluation factors and the third factors is a teacher. Chapter four is from the effects of the background knowledge of mathematics application consciousness, to train their consciousness of mathematics application of problem solving inquiry, cultivate consciousness of mathematics application under the guidance of mathematics thought method, find math material life practice, mathematics abstract method to observe reality in five aspects to cultivate consciousness of mathematics application. Finally chapter five gives practical conclusions and put forward teaching Suggestions.
