Since the implementation of the “Special-post plan”in 2006,the development of our Rural Compulsory Education has achieved remarkable results.By2013,through the“Special-post plan” totally has recruited about 361,000 Special-post teachers teaching in rural areas,which effectively solved the weakness of rural teaching staff and irrational structure and so on.However,there is a mentality of “staying while looking another position” among the Special-post teachers,and the percentage of taking toot in rural areas is low.The Special-post teacher s’ social status not only reflects the market value of the Special-post teachers who will be attracted to teach in rural elementary and middle schools, but also mirrors the choosing profession characteristic of the Special-post teachers who would like to teach in rural.Therefore, the study on the Special-post teachers ’ social status has an important instruction significance to establish a persistent effect mechanism.The Special-post teachers’ social status refers to the background of the Special-post teachers and its proportion,including their familial and individual background.In order to really reflect the Special-post teachers’ social status condition,author chose 156 elementary and middle schools special-post teachers who came from three counties in Shaoyang,Hunan Province as the research objects,and questionnaire was main and the interview was subordinate. According to personal findings,we arrived at the following conclusions that the Special-post teachers chiefly consists of rural students,they are from the lower middle class family of society class and mainly graduated from the local second tier Normal university.There are tow reasons can account for the features of their social status.On one hand,it relates to the mechanism of current social mobility;on the other hand,it is also connected with the Special-post teachers’ career expectation.Meanwhile,family factors have an important effect on the Special-post teacher’professional choice.In order to promote the balanced development of compulsory and realize the educational justice between city and countryside,these needs teachers who teach well and the teachers who would like to retain,which requires national policies,local schools,public opinions and the Special-post teachers the four aspects to work together.For national policies,it is necessary to improve the Special-post teachers’ treatment and social status and give full play to the advantage of the Special-post teachers’ geographical origin.It also need to vigorously develop the “Re-feeding education”and energetically enhance the cultivation quality of provincial local second tier Normal university and strengthen the survey of applicants ’rural teaching quality.From the schools aspect,it should reinforce the humanistic care to the Special-post teachers,and create conditions to promote the Special-post teachers ’ professional development and aim at the traits of the Special-post teachers to professional development activities.As for public opinions,it must exert the role of guidance,stimulation and supervision of the public opinions.For the Special-post teachers,they should establish a sense of dedication,and form right values,reasonably plan their career and advance their social status by themselves efforts.
