Study On The Characteristics Of Athletes Groups In The Period Of Republic Of China

Taking person as mirrors, one can know his acquisition and lost; taking history as mirrors, one can know the rise and fall; and history plays a very important role in today’s reform and development. This paper bases on the background of the Republic of China, by analysing the characteristics of the groups of 60 athletes to eulogize our ancestors, inspire contemporary generations and set examples for future. Through the research to athletes groups in the Republic of China, the paper explain the track of the evolution of modern sports in China from the characteristics of the growth of athletes in the period of Republic of China. It provides rich practical examples and rich theory for us, and also edifies the development of theory and practice of modern sports. Based on the literature analysis, adopting methods of classification, logical analysis, comparative study, quantitative analysis and so on, this paper studies on the population structure, main idea, sports experience, social influence and occupation morality of the athletes groups in the period of Republic of China, highlighting the common personality spirit and the group’s characteristics of athletes in Republic of China.The research shows that the development of the athletes groups in Republic of China is a progressive process, and its causes are not only the entering of western sports and the cast of social background, but also the links between sports and national consciousness, which created a number of outstanding athletes groups. They used their practice to promote the liberation of women in China and the prosperity of Chinese modern sports, which made a great contribution to the development of Chinese modern sports. It can even be said that the sports tradition in Republic of China is still in some ways affecting some aspects of our country’s current sports; and with important practical significance on the development of contemporary sports culture and the cultivation of athletes, and also with the enlightenment to find the path to improve the humanistic quality of contemporary athletes.
