Course reform is one of the important processes inside the educational reform. The individual feature, learning ability and learning emphasis are unique for each student. Therefore difference teaching in geography course for each student is needed. Two case studies about difference teaching in China are analyzed. On the basis of educational theory, relevant existing literature and on-site survey, the current situation of difference teaching in practice are analyzed. Also possible suggestions and solutions to existing problems are been addressed.In chapter 1, literature review are made to look for background of difference teaching in China and other countries. Based on these researches, definition of difference teaching in geography is made.In chapter 2, research objective, methods, specific flowchart and innovation point are described.In chapter3, an on-situ survey is described and analyzed. The objective, operating steps and analysis result are organized.In chapter 4, based on on-situ investment, 6 essential concept of difference teaching are analyzed: difference in students’ features, differences in teaching methods, differences in teaching objectives, differences in teaching processes, differences in studying evaluations and differences in course organization.In chapter 5, effects of difference teaching in teaching practice and other perspectives of difference teaching are analyzed.In chapter 6, according to the analysis result, 3 perspectives are emphasized to improve effects of difference teaching: ability to implement difference teaching for teachers,willing to support difference teaching from parents and support from school.In chapter 7, summary of this research are made. Also some advices are proposed to solve problems existing, and possible future situations are discussed.
