In recent years, with the development of "Chinese hot" rising, teaching Chinese in Thailand also presents a thriving scene, Thailand has become one of the main locations of teaching Chinese as a foreign language. In this paper, the teaching problem in the process of comprehensive course of Chinese at primary school in Thailand was discussed, through consulting relevant literature, accessing to the Chinese teachers at local school, data collection, along with personal teaching practice and student’s interview investigation. Base on compressive analysis of the current situation as well as personal field practice in Thailand, we found that the status of Chinese teaching in Thai primary school met different aspects of the problem, such as teaching of Chinese characters, phonetic teaching problems and imparting problems existing in the aspects of teachers and students. The causes of these problems are various. Combined personal feeling of practice with related survey result, the basic problems of teaching Chinese at primary school in Thailand in different aspects such as students’self-learning teachers’ capability and school environment were analyzed. Through investigating the current status of teaching Chinese at primary school in Thailand, a summary and several suggestions were put forward. Taking the Sirnakorn Foundation School in Hatyai southern Thailand as an example, the developing strategies for comprehensive course of Chinese were discussed. |
