With the new round of curriculum reform, Chinese language courses more and more emphasis on "culture." Local culture as part of the culture, in Chinese language teaching has an important value, worthy oflanguage educators to develop and use.The paper that is of Jiangsu junior high school language textbooks for the study, to explore the characteristics of Jiangsu provincial cultural elements of textbooks, and use in language teaching and other issues.In addition to paper introduction and conclusion part, mainly composed of four parts.The first chapter outlines the value of local culture and Jiangsu local culture and local culture in language teaching, language teaching in the current status of teaching in the local culture,and discusses the necessity of local culture into language teaching materials.The second and third chapter of the first junior high school language textbook of Jiangsu made a brief presentation, followed for six junior high school language textbooks for Jiangsu local cultural elements carding and statistics, and analyze them, and thensummarizes the characteristics and inadequate placesto make recommendations for improvement.The fourth chapter is to explore the local culture into teaching junior high school language teaching, are discussed separately from the classroom and extra-curricular aspects.The "Full-time Compulsory Education Chinese course standard(2011 Edition)" as the basis, combined with junior high school students’ own characteristics and Jiangsu junior high school language textbooks setting, comprehensively analyze the textbooks of Jiangsu local culture, in order to better use in language teaching.
