Since 1980s, China’s industrialization and urbanization process has been continuing to advance. With the development of agricultural modernization, there has been a large number of rural surplus labors. Working in the city with considerable economic remuneration continuously attracts farmers from less developed areas to work in the city. This newly emerged group is called "migrant workers". With the accelerated process of industrialization and urbanization, the group of migrant workers has been growing continuously, which plays an important role in the development of China’s economy. As time goes by, for the migrant workers who were born after 1980, they were called "new generation migrant workers". On the one hand, new generation migrant workers make a great contribution to the economy construction and development even society development of city; on the other hand, although they are no longer the traditional farmers, they do not get rid of farmer’s identity. Due to various constraints, their occupation literacy and skill level is generally not high. This not only determines their income rise and employment stability, but also relates to the improvement of the quality of the whole people, social and economic growth and the optimization and upgrading of industrial structure in China, and even deeply affects social stability and the improvement of people’s overall living standards. The work of new generation migrant workers vocational training is a long and arduous task. New generation migrant workers vocational training can effectively accelerate the transfer of rural surplus labors, broaden the channels of employment of new generation migrant workers, and promote the urbanization process. In theory, the new generation migrant workers should actively participate in the occupation training to improve their own interests. But many of new generation migrant workers lack of vocational training long-term understanding, thinking that vocational training is not likely to improve their level of income. What’s more, the current vocational training also has various problems. Therefore, new generation migrant workers’vocational training intention is not strong, and they even have psychological conflict to vocational training activities.At present, the research on the theoretical and empirical analysis of the vocational training intention of new generation migrant workers are relatively scarce. What are the factors influencing the intention of new generation migrant workers to participate in vocational training? How do these factors influence it? How to use these factors to guide new generation migrant workers to participate in vocational training? This article will carry on the research with these questions. The integrated method of literature review, questionnaire survey is used in this paper. And the cities of Fuzhou, Xiamen and Quanzhou are taken as examples to analyze the vocational training intention and its affecting factors of new generation migrant workers. The main contents and conclusions of this paper are as follows:Chapter one introduces the background, significance, objectives, content and methods of the research and technical routes, and points out the innovations and deficiencies of this paper.The related concepts are defined and the relevant literature is reviewed in Chapter two.Chapter three introduces the basic information of the data source and sample.Chapter four finds out the factors that have significant influence on the vocational training intention of new generation migrant workers by the method of cross analysis and chi square test.Chapter five constructs the Logistic regression model to analyze the affecting factors of new generation migrant workers’vocational training intention. The results show that the factors that affect the vocational training intention of new generation migrant workers are:average monthly income, career awareness, need of vocational training, training period, training costs, legal literacy training, training teacher, company support and family support.Chapter six makes the conclusion and puts forward the countermeasures and suggestions to enhance the vocational training intention of new generation migrant workers in China, mainly including:to increase the propaganda of new generation migrant workers’vocational training to change the vocational training concept; to strengthen the legislation construction of new generation migrant workers’vocational training to improve the working mechanism; to establish incentive mechanism of new generation migrant workers’vocational training to implement the system of labor access; to ensure new generation migrant workers’vocational training funds, and encourage participation in multiple inputs; to integrate new generation migrant workers vocational training resources to improve the efficiency of vocational training; to perfect the new generation migrant workers’ vocational training system to improve the quality of vocational training.
