The purpose of this study is to discuss the instant effects of the sharing reading by the interactive way for students’ emotional intelligence and life adaption. The targeted students are in primary school, grade three and five.The emotional intelligence scale for students in primary school and life adaption scale for primary students were used as the testing tools.This study was divided into two parts. The first part conducted a questionnaire survey to investigate students ’emotional intelligence and life adaption. The targeted students were in the two common public school.130 students were in grade three, 110 students were in grade five, a total of 240 students. The second part targeted at the third grade 65 students and the fifth grade 55 students, a total of 120 students. This part implemented an activity that reading picture books for nine weeks. The sharing reading by the interactive way was adopted as the teaching method. By the comparison of the emotional intelligence and life adaption before and after reading, questionnaire surveys and data processing analysis, a following conclusion has been made:(1) The sharing reading by the interactive way can improve the ability of the emotional intelligence for the third and fifth grades students. The cognition of the sharing reading by the interactive way for the third grade students’ emotional intelligence to others’ emotions, interpersonal emotions, and emotional intelligence has shown a significant improvement. For the fifth grade students’ emotional intelligence to emotions of themselves, well-managed emotions, self-motivations and others ’emotions has shown a significant improvement.(2) The sharing reading by the interactive way can improve the ability of the life adaption for the third and fifth grades students.And on school adaption and peer adaption,they significantly improved.(3) The sharing reading by the interactive way on improving students ’emotional intelligence and life adaption, the fifth grade students are more significant than the third grade students.(4) Among the students in grades three and five, grade difference has no significant difference on the total score of the emotional intelligence and other dimensions. On the total score of the adaption concerning the individual, family, companion and life, the fifth grade students is generally higher than the third grade.(5) Among the students in grades three and five, boys and girls have no significant difference on the total score of the emotional intelligence, life adaption and other dimensions.(6) Among the third and fifth grades students,the only children and non-only children show no obvious difference on the total score of the emotional intelligence, life adaption and other dimensions.(7) This study demonstrates that the establishment of the interactive reading by sharing picture books is warmly welcomed by the students in the process of the implementation.
