The status of graduate employment of college is not only a matter of education quality of college development, but also a social problem related to innumerable families, social stability and economic development.This paper used the methods as literature research, questionnaire and interview to survey and analysis the employment status of those rural graduates from Heyuan vocational technical institute from2011to2013, and the summarized status of rural graduates employment display as following:general high and stable employed ratio; low major counterparts rate; rare owned business cases; high on board cost, most of the graduates who go back home were pedagogical students; employer present lower satisfaction rate for rural graduates; with quite less promotion opportunity.The main reasons that cause above negative results including:social strata relatively solidified by different family background, thus rural graduate have fewer opportunities for upward mobility; the aspiration to raise undergraduate have been greatly decreasing due to the low return rate of higher education caused by unreasonable educational resources assignment; unfair socio-economic structure and regional development status; the overall quality of rural graduate is not good enough, and also confront of employment discrimination and residence restrictions etc.For above mentioned issues, there are some specific advices relate to government, college and rural vocationally students:Firstly, the state government should vigorously develop the rural socio-economic and eliminate administrative monopoly, aim to establish an integration labor market for both urban and rural graduates; optimize related laws and regulations to improve the labor market, establish some kind of special policies to help rural graduates to access employment; perfect the allocation of labor resources and further standardize the market environment with comprehensive planning employment system, and encourage some of the rural graduates to undertake their owned business. Secondly, vocational colleges should play their strengths to improve the major restructuring, conduct reasonable employment planning and provide necessary employment guidance; carry forward entrepreneurship education reform. Thirdly, rural graduates should upgrade themselves proactively, establish a gracious, popular, long-term development vision of employment; enhance their employability and access employment opportunity actively.
