Exploration Of Organization And Structure Of CBA Professional League

Using the methods of literature, experts interview, comparative analysis, field survey method, logical analysis method to study the existing organization structure and management mode of CBA. Deeply analysis the responsibilities of CBA league and its current power, the current organization structure mode to produce the positive and negative effects on the CBA league, then compare to the developed countries’ s professional leagues, especially the NBA league organization structure and its power responsibility division. This paper compares and analyzes exploration and construct CBA league organization framework, and define power and responsibility of the CBA league, to provide theoretical basis and the reference experience for our country’s future CBA professional league.Specific conclusions and recommendations are as follows:(1)It is found that current organization structure of CBA league is called Linear Structure in the subject of management,the operational mode is a management operation pattern from top to down. CBA is the highest authority of this organization structure, On the structural relationships,the whole organization structure shows a comparatively obvious hierarchically subordinate relation. On division of power, it’s mainly showed that CBA owns high centralization. The negative effects of this operational mode of organization structure on CBA league are as follows:too many organizations and organ of authority is seriously unpractical;highly centralized power,lack of certain democracy;too many layers,low working efficiency;constant structure,working mode rigid.(2)Although there is a big difference between western developed countries and our country on sports management system, professional basketball leagues were established early and mature in western developed countries. Especially American NBA professional league possess a huge significance and reference value. Analyzing carefully the pros and cons of management and operating mode will bring a lot of benefits to CBA professional league.(3)Currently there are some political and economical foundations in our country to set up CBA professional league. Political foundation is mainly showed as follows:party and government have issued programmaticfiles on promoting sport development; the need of construction of sport power, promotion national soft power;there are too many disadvantages existing in current organization structure,match problems breaking out;the voice of people to set up a professional league is growing.Economical foundation is mainly showed as follows: the development and perfection of socialist marketing economy; the revolution of NBL league has made progress;the business operating mode of CBA league is becoming mature gradually; draft system is carried out in CBA league,player market is becoming active increasingly; marke promotion mode of club is gradually mature,economic and social benefit are continuously improving;the voice of CBA clubs to set up a professional league is also growing.(4)The operation principles of CBA professional league are: League’s autonomy and the Chinese Basketball Association regulatory combining;strengthening the principle of club’s autonomy; club interests and the interests of alliance unity; adhere to sustainable development and market-oriented principles; league’s interests and national interests unity.(5)Management of CBA professional league is matrix organization structure,the advantages is not only keep the stability of league members but also give full role to its members, organizational efficiency is comparatively high. CBA league implements GM responsibility system under the leadership of executive board. There are 9 functional divisions:GM office, competition division, marketing department,finance department,discipline and legal affairs department, media department,etc.managing and operating the whole league together with all clubs.(6)Because this research has certain forward-looking, so in the process of actual operation need according to the current sports system in China and the CBA league actual reasonable adjustments, its shortcomings still need to continuously developing in practical operation.
