In order to cultivate talents with creative minds, Research learning curriculum in primary and has been promoted nationwide. However, the problem is that the teaching effects of most research learning curriculums are compromised because of inappropriate teaching and curriculum construction. Therefore, this research focuses on how to combine research learning curriculum with math class with an effective teaching method.This research focuses on following questions:What is the development and current situation of research learning worldwide? What is the main problem of research learning curriculum in China? In which way shall we combine research learning with math class? Is there any good example of it and is the combination satisfactory?This research has experienced several stages including literature review; trying to find an effective way to combine research learning with math class; designing questionnaires and carrying out the survey; analyzing statistic; making conclusions and suggestions.The conclusions of this research are as follows. First, because of inappropriate teaching and curriculum construction, most research curriculums can’t inspire students or improve their learning ability so teachers need to find ways to improve this. Second, mass class and research learning curriculum can and should be combined because they share similarities. Third, the pilot combination of mass class and research learning curriculum has made following achievements -1. It helps broaden students’horizon and inspire their learning interests.2. It helps students deepen their understanding of the target knowledge and therefore helps them perform better in exams.3. Research learning curriculum can facilitate positive interaction between teachers and students so that better teaching effects can be achieved.
