Undergraduates’ employability belongs to the range of professional competence research. Research on undergraduates’ employability can not only enrich theories about professional competence, but also help undergraduates know about their professional competence, so that their professional competence can be improved.Based on the review of domestic and overseas literature about undergraduates’ employability, this study launched an open-ended investigation, according which specific abilities for undergraduates’ employability were developed. Based on these specific abilities, this study establish a primary questionnaire. With item analysis, factor analysis and the testing of validity and reliability, official questionnaire finally took shape, by which the basic situation of undergraduates’ employability was investigated and differences in demographic variables were compared. In the final part, relationship between undergraduates’ employability and social support was explored.Conclusions of this study:(1)Undergraduates’ employability is composed of five dimensions, they are professional competence, communicative competence, cooperative competence, coordinate ability and thinking ability.(2) Structure of the official questionnaire fitted good. With strict investigation on items, exploratory factor analysis and the testing of validity and reliability, the official questionnaire met the requirements of meteorology, which means that the questionnaire was both scientific and reasonable.(3) Undergraduates’ scores on the official questionnaire showed that their employability was above the average. Cooperative competence scored highest, then the communicative ability, thinking ability and coordinate ability, professional ability scored the lowest.(4) Undergraduates’ employability showed significant differences on the variables of undergraduates’ political landscapes, home-places, class committee or not, and achievements at school.(5) Significant correlation were found between undergraduates’ employability and social support; social support can significant predict undergraduates’ employability.
