With the expansion of colleges and universities,the employment of undergraduates has becoming an increasingly serious problem in social development.The reasons for this phenomenon are not only the excessive quantity,but also the difference between the knowledge,ability,quality of students and the demand of employers.For this reason,universities must pay attention to the cultivation of students' employability.In our country,a large number of studies about the employability are qualitative researches instead of quantitative researches with empirical support.And most scholars focus on the study of employment results,neglecting the training process of employability.Therefore,this thesis will take ordinary universities in Shanxi province as example,and explore the composition and influencing factors of undergraduates' employability in order to propose some feasible countermeasures for universities.It is of great significance to solve the serious employment problem.In order to obtain the reliable data,the author distributes 500 questionnaires to five universities in Shanxi province,and then collects 450 valid questionnaires.In addition,SPSS21.0 and AMOS17.0 are used to organize and analyze the data.The conclusions are as follows: Firstly,based on the previous researches,this thesis establishes the structure model of undergraduates' employability,mainly including specialized knowledge ability,interpersonal skills,self-management ability,team cooperation ability,problem solving ability and innovation ability.Secondly,the employablility of students is in the middle level,and the average value is less than 4 points,so there is still plenty of room for improvement.Specifically,students have the best performance in team cooperation ability and self-management ability,but lack of professional knowledge and innovation ability.Thirdly,students' employability has no significant differences in gender,origin,professional categories,the leader's experience of students and community participation.But it has significant differences in politics status,grade and work experience.Specifically,party member's employability is higher than no-party people,senior students' employability is higher than freshman and sophomore,and employability of the students who have working experience is higher than the students who lack of working experience.Fourthly,undergraduates' employability is a complex concept,affected by many factors.Finally.Through data analysis,this article finds that the curriculum installation,teaching methods,teachers' level,university-enterprise cooperation and practice experience are making the greatest influence on students' employability.This result shows that universities play a significant role in improving the employability of students.Finally,based on the results of empirical research,this article puts forward some detailed recommendations for universities in China in order to alleviate employment pressure,including optimize curriculum setting,enrich the teaching methods,raise the teacher quality,strengthen the cooperation with enterprises,perfect vocational guidance system and so on.
