Poetry creation in recent years has been nearly 100 years of history, and from it, and gradually developed into the main form of contemporary Chinese poetry. Its expression way is various, the form is novel, in the thought and the poem, manifests the modern humanities spirit, and has given the unique characteristic. Study on students’ poetry, language accumulation, language awareness, the development of thinking, aesthetic taste and the promotion of morals, plays a very important role. However, as an important part of Chinese teaching in middle school, application of new poetry in teaching practice has attracted more and more attention. On this basis, this paper adopts questionnaire survey way, in the two aspects of teachers and students to investigate the problems existing in the current high school poetry teaching, from found corresponding problems, the analysis of the existing problems, and then puts forward the countermeasures to solve the problem, provide the beneficial help for new poetry teaching, help teachers to better the launch of new poetry teaching.This paper is divided into four chapters, the first chapter is an overview of the research on Chinese poetry teaching in senior high school, from the definition of related concepts and theoretical basis are elaborated; the second chapter focuses on high school Chinese Textbooks of new poems papers were analyzed. The first is the selection of articles and articles summarized, followed by the selection of articles arrangements and standards; the third chapter according to the survey pointed out that the current situation of high school poetry teaching, respectively, from the teachers and students pointed out that the situation of new poetry teaching and learning, the author reveals the interpretation of teachers to explain the lack of time, poetry teachers ignore the author’s self personality, poetry class of images in the superficial problems of contemporary poetry teaching and other factors restricting the new problem; the fourth chapter attempts feasible the new poetry teaching strategies are given, respectively, to diversify from the interpretation of poetry, to focus on shaping the personality of the students living to pay attention to student’s trial and to raise the importance of New Poe The four aspects of the cultivation of the American experience are described in this paper.
