The Hui nationality, is one of the larger number of minority nationality. It shows the characteristic that is consistent with modern development by fusing with mainstream culture. The Hui Nationality School Education in Qinghai, as a new form of education, has played a pivotal role in the evolution and development of the modernization process. It not only cultivated a large number of various types of the Hui nationality at all levels for Qinghai, and promoted the Hui people into mainstream culture faster, but also enhanced the Hui nationality’s quality and development of modernization. In the research, the writer study over 60 years’ evolution history of the Hui nationality school education in Qinghai from Qinghai as a province to reforming and opening deeply and systematically by using oral history,educational narrative and classical literature research in education history research,and in order to understand the development history of the Hui nationality school education in Qinghai from a different perspective, make it return to its source of running water. Meanwhile, it can make a substantial effect for we sum up experiences and lessons, our lessons, think how to highlight characteristic of the Hui nationality school education deeply and develop the Hui nationality school education.The thesis as follow:Firstly, it is the preface. The thesis discusses the prerequisite issue, such as origin, status quo and significance of domestic and foreign research and so on. And the thesis clarifies ideas and methods of the research, defines the two core concepts of the research namely the Hui nationality school education and oral history in order to next study research.The first chapter introduces the development situation of school education in Qinghai before Qinghai as a province by reviewing evolution of the Hui nationality of Qinghai and its education, in order to illustrate the background situation of Qinghai school education before it as a province.From the second chapter to the fifth chapter, the thesis studies over 60 years’evolution history of the Hui nationality school education in Qinghai from 1929 to1997 with four stages, and shows education experiences of the Hui nationalityeducatees of Qinghai in different background.The sixth chapter tries to summarize the Hui nationality school education in Qinghai that encountered problems in the development.That is the development of education in the Hui nationality schools affected by traditional culture, political and economic conditions in the national modernization process, by longitudinal comparison of different historical periods. Finally, the thesis attempts to rethink effect of school education for the Hui people’s development in Qinghai and the whole Hui nation’s development by the way of school existing and educatees and so on.
