Research On The Willingness Under The Free Educational Policy For The Vocational Students

In recent year, the government makes many policies to promote the development of Secondary vocational education, including the free education policy. From 2009 the country began to implement policy of free secondary vocational education, free implementation of the policy of expanding the scope,first to public secondary vocational school in the rural family economic difficulties and related professional students in the implementation of free tuition, and then extended to all rural(contain County town), the city family economic difficulties and students majoring in agriculture. Up till now, there are13 provinces implement the policy in China. It supposed that more and more students would choose to go to the vocational schools. But in fact, the number of students of the vocational schools is decreasing year by year.In this paper, by analysis of the status quo of the implementation of free secondary vocational education policies of our country, based on under the background of the implementation of this policy, the investigation method of the questionnaire survey, Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province, four secondary vocational school students attending willingness of students’ personal and family basic situation, attended the wishes, employment will etc. Survey results show that free policy not students reading in secondary vocational school is the main reason, personal interest, learning achievement, family economy, vocational and social identity, employment prospects, entering a higher school prospects is affecting students enrolled in Vocational of important reasons. And in some students’ mind, they don’t think they will get an good offer after their graduation. In addition, the economic situation of the family and student graduation choice, parents education and students choose professional showed a significant correlation. For the rich students, 40% of them will choose to upgrade their education after the graduation, 40%. But for the poor students,47.9% of them will go to work after the gradation and only 29.5% of them will choose to upgrade their education after the graduation. The parents education to6 years and 15 years, most students choose professional vehicle maintenance;and the education of parents in 9-12 years, most students choose electronic commerce.Therefore, we should do something to settling the problem, such as making more people notice the free education policy, remove the partial opinion about vocational education, increase school-enterprise cooperation between vocational schools and the companies, offer more jobs for the vocational schools graduates, and do something to make the students upgrade their education more easily.
