In recent years, the development of information technology has injected new vitality into teaching activities. Multimedia aided teaching activities have been revitalized. In class, not only has multimedia teaching equipment changed students’learning habits, but also has influenced teachers’ posture language. Good teaching posture plays an irreplaceable role in strengthening classroom order management, relieving visual fatigue, remedying the disadvantages of multimedia verbal language and enhancing the teaching effect. Therefore, our current urgent issue is to work out the ways of exploiting the advantages to the full and improving classroom efficiency. This study has guiding significance in enhancing teachers’practical teaching level.With the combination of domestic and foreign research results of teachers’posture language, and its current application actuality, this paper made a systematic research on teachers’posture language based on multimedia teaching and advocated corresponding optimizing strategies. The following aspects will be discussed on this topic.Firstly, by analyzing the research background, the author indicates the necessity of this study. What’s more, the present research home and abroad is made clear and new characteristics presented by teachers’body language and its functions under new circumstances are studied as a focus. Thirdly, new principles of teachers’body language use with multimedia are analyzed and their specific classifications and applications in history teaching are further explored. Fourthly, the actual use of body language among middle school teachers is known by the application of questionnaires, classroom observation and records, etc. It is found that the theoretical levels of present teachers’ body language are relatively low. Besides, teachers don’t realize the importance of body language. Moreover, they use body language inappropriately. The author believes the following reasons account for those problems:the interference of traditional concepts, the lack of education of teachers’ body language, the limitation of teaching equipment, etc. Lastly, the corresponding optimizing strategies are brought up to match the present situation of teachers body language in middle schools as well as the reasons for the existing problems.It is hoped honestly that this thesis can draw the attention of teachers upon the importance of body language in multimedia auxiliary teaching. Again, this thesis puts forward some opinions and suggestions of teachers’body language use under current circumstances in order to contribute to the research of teaches’ body language under the new environment of multimedia.
