With the continuous development of social progress and constantly update education idea, teaching of high school ideological and political work put forward higher request, under the background of new curriculum reform, the reform of the high school political lesson teaching methods has been forward, our country has been daunted, cramming method of teaching has been far can not meet the demand of the development of the students, the traditional, closed classroom is bound to quit the historical stage. Put forward the new curriculum standard, effective learning activities require students to practice their own, autonomy, cooperation, explore communication, instead of the simple imitation and memory. Discussion-based teaching application, therefore, better play to the teachers’ leading and the unity of students main body role, the open teaching mode in high school thought political lesson teaching provides a new way of reform and innovation, it adapt to the current the need of cultivating students’ innovative spirit and practice ability, to adapt to the teaching learning situation in our country, to adapt to the development trend of modern education, changed the way teachers’ teaching and students’ learning styles.Discussion-based teaching method accord with the requirement of new curriculum reform, it is a kind of take the student as the main body of the teaching method, in the political class in high school in the form of discussion is not only beneficial to promote the efficiency of teaching, but also to the cultivation of the students’ comprehensive quality has an important role. High school thought political lesson classroom discussion based on the effective and ineffective or inefficient classroom discussion not only waste the precious time of students is also severely dampened enthusiasm for new teaching methods to try. Therefore, in order to make more effective classroom discussions, needs to be discussed from preparation, this paper discuss the implementation of effective and correct summary evaluation, teachers only continuously explore and reflect continuously, insist on using, will exert the advantage of classroom discussion, achieve better teaching effect, achieve the teaching goal.This research mainly divided into four parts:the first part expounds the effective classroom discussion of the relevant concept definition and evaluation; The second part discusses how to carry out effective ideological and political class in high school, including the process of class discussion and requirements; The third part according to the questionnaire on the present situation of high school ideological and political class of invalid discussion made data analysis; The fourth part selection are the political teaching material "set up the correct consumption view" section for classroom discussion of case effectively, illustrates the concrete improvement measures of effective classroom discussion and application process.
