College PE teacher undertakes the task of cultivating and providing qualified sports talent to the society. As it says:the best way to learn is to learn from the best, which means that the quality of sports talents depends on the quality of college PE teachers. Nevertheless, there are so many factors influencing the quality of a college PE teacher, and one of them is evaluation, which is connect to PE teachers’ vital interests. Although it has made some achievements and it did had a good affection, yet there still exists some problems in the college PE teacher evaluation, as a result, it hinders the teacher’s further development and improvement, and influence the teacher’s enthusiasm and initiative, which influences the quality of sport talents. So to perfect the college PE teacher’s evaluation system to meet the need of new age is around the corner.With the methods of questionnaire survey, case analysis, mathematical statistics, an literature review, the problems in the college PE teacher evaluation being the study object, and the OE teacher in CCNU being the respondent, this thesis investigate the current situation and existing problems in the PE teacher evaluation system, and the findings are:1)It pay no attention to the PE teacher’s evaluation;2)Single evaluation index, value scientific research not teaching;3)Evaluation subjects are narrow, valuing from-top-to-bottom, not from-bottom-to-top;4)Value teacher’s position promotion not self development;5)Delay and neglect the information feedback;6)Value unified not respective evaluation. To solve these problems above, the thesis also gives some suggestions:1)Establish a scientific and perfect PE teachers’ evaluation system;2)Pay attention to the diversification of evaluation subject and evaluation method;3)Set up the correct goal of PE teacher evaluation;4)Perfect the feedback system;5)Based on the characteristic of Subject, set a standard of classified evaluation.
