Today is the era of knowledge explosion, the rapid development of society so that among the various fields is becoming more and more closely, the integration between knowledge is becoming more and more obvious, social talented person’s demand also changed, not only requires knowledge of master degree, need more knowledge with ability. Therefore, how to cultivate students of knowledge application ability, to enable students to develop a general method to solve the problem, promote the students’ knowledge transfer, is an important goal of modern education, education teaching in middle school is an important research topic. However, in the traditional teaching, students often have the knowledge that is not used, resulting in the lack of knowledge of the phenomenon, or students in the process of solving the problem is not efficient, resulting in a great waste of time. Aiming at the problems existing in the traditional teaching, this thesis discusses two aspects of the theory and practice to promote the knowledge transfer of students. To explore how to use thematic teaching promote the effective transfer of knowledge to students and how to design for the practical teaching of thematic teaching content, how to carry on the teaching design, how to enrich the teaching process, the junior middle school mathematics teaching will have practical significance and application value. This study from two aspects of theory and Practice on how to use thematic teaching to promote students’ knowledge transfer has been carried out the following research:First of all, according to the problems found, access to relevant literature, summary of other scholars on knowledge transfer research perspectives and theoretical basis. This research proposes the feasibility and necessity of promoting knowledge transfer from the aspects of the research background, theoretical and practical significance, and the advantages of thematic teaching.Secondly, in order to promote the teaching design of knowledge transfer as the basic framework, select the junior high school mathematics "function knowledge" to carry on the concrete teaching case design research. Mainly from the background of teaching practice, special design steps, specific teaching and knowledge transfer than the quasi standard, which explores the application of thematic teaching in the specific teaching practice, show the relevant teaching strategies. Concrete teaching practice, teaching goal of the junior high school math knowledge as the basis; follow the situation, gradient, in line with the cognitive level of the students design principle for actual teaching function of the special knowledge; the teaching process in the control group of students using traditional teaching methods, thematic teaching with the students in the experimental group. Analysis of two groups of students learning, teaching experiment data records. Finally, through the comprehensive comparison of the experimental data and the case, the conclusion is drawn. Thematic teaching in a certain extent can effectively promote the transfer of students knowledge, improve the ability of students to use knowledge and knowledge of the master degree. This research is for the purpose of through two aspects of theory and practice of project-based teaching to promote students’ knowledge transfer and the various problems, in order to transform teaching content presentation, the learning style of students, so that teachers become the guides of students learning, become a student knowledge construct actively, lets the student diversified development in the study of knowledge. At the same time, it also reveals the unique advantages of thematic teaching, improve the students’ knowledge, and make the students build a good knowledge frame, so as to solve the practical problems.
