As one of the major social sciences, sociology is becoming more and more mature in China. As a kind of scientific community, the sociology community has become more and more mature. However, there are few studies on the sociology community in the academic circles. Sociology is in a state of non-consciousness. In this paper, we study the characteristics and the development pattern of the sociology community, and the phenomenon of stratification.This paper is a social stratification study of sociology community, which is based on the CNKI data of China "211 project" university professor. This paper adopts quantitative research methods, and mainly uses the literature research method and survey method. The main source of the data is the department website of universities and CNKI data. Respectively obtain sociology community member’s personal information and academic information. Do statistical analysis using statistical software. Analysis the development of the sociology community, and the academic strength of the community members (including the performance of scientific research and academic influence). Use the data as the dependent variable, analysis the sociology community member’s personal information, do analysis research based on descriptive research, explore what is the relevance and influence of the cable to the sociology community members’ academic information, and focus on gender analysis.This paper draws the following conclusions. First of all, in China 211 university in-service sociology professors, there exists obvious stratification, and stratification is comprehensive and significant. Secondly, the distribution of sociology in-service professor of 211 colleges and universities is uneven. Third, China 211 university sociology professors exist obvious differences in scientific research performance and academic influence, and has stratification. Fourth, China 211 university sociology in-service professor has low social active degree in the social influence overall, and there is a significant difference. Fifth,211 universities sociology professor’s job on the achievements in scientific research and academic influence exists obvious gender differences, but does not mean that this difference is caused by gender, the correlation cannot be determined. May be caused by other factors which related gender influence. Sixth, differences between regions and units is associated with the performance of scientific research and academic influence of China 211 university sociology professor, and it is an important factor.
