The Advanced Energized Training For The Disabled With Intellectual Disabilities In The Vocational Rehabilitation

With the social civilization and the popularity of social security, jobs for vulnerable groups increasingly draw the society’s attention from all walks of life. But as the more disadvantaged groups, the employment situation for the mentally disabled is still worrying. Because the function of the brain is becoming weaker and weaker increasingly, the learning cognitive ability of the disabled who have Mental retardation and the ability to adapt to society are poor, compared to the normal adults. Due to the lack of professional skill, their employments are full of obstacles. To improve the ability of the individual, employment guidance is particularly important for them.This study is based on the theory of energized perspective, using the interview method, the observation method and the questionnaire method and combining the quantitative research method and the qualitative research method. Through the analysis of employment potential for the service objects from the Nanjing Ningxin Sunshine Home, they are divided into A, B, C three types according to foster ability, for the features of each type of the disabled, a pertinent energized training and assessment will be carried out. According to the results of the assessment, the groups and jobs for the disabled with intelligence obstacles will be redrawn. To improve their practical ability, three departments including day care centers, protected labor groups, supporting employment factories will be increasing step by step so that it is possible for them to apply to the society as soon as possible. After the analysis of energized efficiency of employment assistance services of the Nanjing Ningxin Sunshine Home, we begin to reflect on difficulties and problems in service. Finally, we are looking forward to put forward suggestions and countermeasures to perfect employment assistance services for the disabled with intellectual disabilities from the perspective of professional social work, we do a thorough and comprehensive research on advanced vocational rehabilitation for the disabled with intellectual disabilities.After the study we have found that the vocational rehabilitation practice and employment assistance program have achieved a lot for the mentally retarded disabled in the Nanjing Ningxin Sunshine Home, the majority of the parents also acknowledge the overall service of the organization. However, the insufficiency of personalized energized scheme design for the service objects and lack of service for mentally disabled families and peer groups affect the interaction between the service objects and other related groups to a certain extent. In order to further improve the advanced energized training plan for the Nanjing Ningxin Sunshine Home, Also the government, social organizations, NGO, etc are needed to carry out the economic investment and cultural promotion in the field of social work for the disabled, Expand the team of official and unofficial social workers and greet the spring of the profession of the social work for the disabled with intelligence obstacles.
