From the perspective of the present teaching situation of computer major in Senior Vocational School, its course objective of education should be orientated toward practice and vocational application. At the same time, training of qualifications and capabilities should be emphasized in order to establish the abilities of technical application in the system of vocational educational course. Without such kind of qualifications, it is impossible for students to obtain stable positions in the increasingly competitive market.Project teaching is a type of teaching method which originates from the mode of "Dual System" vocational educational teaching of German. It is student orientated. Project Teaching Mode is to transform the stipulated teaching contents and requirements into several individual specific projects. Each project is a concrete actionized learning task. The aim of Project Teaching Mode is to solve the unknown questions by exploiting the mastered knowledge so that students’comprehensive vocational abilities could be cultivated. Project Teaching Mode is a creative teaching method. Students’ creative abilities could be cultivated by the application of Project Teaching Mode which lays a solid foundation for the professional career of students after their graduation.This paper analyzes the present teaching situation of Basic Computer Application in Senior Vocational School and it explains the implication of Project Teaching Mode and its theoretical bases. On the basis of this, it discusses the practical application of basic course of computer application in Secondary Specialized School and analyzes the implementation of Project Teaching Mode.We know that the common problem of nearly all higher education at present is the lack of practice. This paper elaborates how to develop students’independent learning habits through concrete case studies. By combining the needs of enterprises and the training directions of the students, their competitive abilities of job hunting could be strengthened on the one hand and we could provide technical qualified person for the society on the other hand. The whole set of methods is gathered into a set of system of training software. Teachers could choose and assign the practical tasks programs for the students according to the Internet platform. Students could be taught according to different individual abilities. Practice reports can be presented to the platform by the students regularly. Teachers provide guidance and judgment for them. Students’ independent learning, teachers’ guidance as the assistance and the desired results of Project Teaching Mode could be achieved.
