With the expansion of higher education, the number of college graduates is constantly increasing. Under this background, after entering society, college graduates are facing with the severe employment pressure firstly. This is the result of continuous social development and economic progress. After graduation, employment pressure is an important turning point and has great inflence to students’future lives and also guides their employment view and attitude to work directly. The deepening of education reform leads to the employment problem of college students gradually.Objectives:This study analyzes university students’characristics of employment psychology from employment psychological tendency, employment psychological quality and employment mentality by intergrating students’social, school and personal factors. This research also analyzes the reasons and forms of students’employment psychological problems, expores the efficient strategies and helps the students get their jobs smoothly. It will explore the useful method of strenthening psychological health of college students, increase college students’individual coping resources and obtain students’, families’and the whole society’ concern and attention.Methods:The questionnaire was designed according to literature and practical problemsexperience, and input it in network questionnaire system, the method of random sampling was adopted.2016 graduates in jiangsu province were selected and sent online survey invitation link.544 questionnaires were effective.Applying Epidata to build the original database, using comparative study method to compare respondents’answers of following aspects:the current employment situation, social position, awareness of the employment situation and policy, specialty and the causes of failure of the work, employment, most important factors of empoyment, work priority, employment pressure source, employment orientation area, the factors influencing the rejection to western or grass-roots employment, employment preparation, the idea of others’ ideal jobs, employment pressure, difficulties and competition attitude, recognition of employment psychological guidance, career and expectations in the process of selection, families’help, think of extreme events and self diagnosis.The typical cases of college students caused by the employment problem were analyzed by using case analysis, The current main problems of university students’ employment psychology were point out.Results:71.32% of respondents sudffer anxiety and tension;70.96% of respondents have inferiority and timidity; 45.4% of respondents have blind conformity psychology; 34.38% of respondents have the vanity psychology; 36.21% of respondents like to compare himself of herself to others; 30.51% of the respondents have conceited and arrogant psychology; 50.74% of respondents would like to rely on parents; 77.39% of respondents spare psychological stability; 56.62% of the respondents wouldn’t like to go the western or grass-roots areas because of family or other reasons; 62.32% of respondents tend to go to the eastern coastal city;63.42% of respondents approve school employment guidance; 88.05% of respondents think they could beat the employment pressure.Conclusions:Graduating college students mainly have psychological problems:suffering tension and anxiety, inferiority of weakness, vanity comparison, conceited arrogance, relying on the outside world, carelessness, passive job stability and so on, but they also have certain individual coping resources, have certain plan and correct understanding of employment, have confidence to face the employment pressure. They also approve school employment guidance course.Advices:In the current severe employment situation, the government, schools and students themselves should pay more attention:1. Government:the government should make correct policies to ensure a fair employment environment and provide a better environment for the students’ employment. At the same time the corresponding supervision and guidance to all policies is very important.;2. School:universities should carry out the policies carefully, pay close attention to the students’practical education, cultivate the students’practical ability and the ability to cope with risk and let students understand and know society in time;3. Student:university students should focus on their mental health, cultivate their correct values and ideas, improve their ability against setbacks and try to deal with the employment problem themselves.
