Teacher’s manual, which is also called teaching reference book, is an important component part of Chinese textbooks and a vital assistance for most Chinese teachers. Over a decade’s implementation of new course reform, the new concept has been accepted ideally, and for now is expected to be applied in pedagogical practice, with the focus that the new concepts are relevant to practice on purpose. Therefore, as the carrier to bring in the classroom course reform, Chinese teacher’s manual should embody the spirit of new concept and offer effective guidance for practice of classroom teaching.Based on the point mentioned, the writer will explore and discuss the advantages and disadvantages of the present high school Chinese textbooks, focusing on the teacher’s manual of present PEP(People’s Education Publishing House) senior high school Chinese textbooks, based on documents and using content analysis method, in order to making it play its role as a guidance for front-line teachers better. This thesis majorly consists of two parts:introduction and main body.The introduction will introduce the background and significance of this research and sum up the current research of teacher’s manual of senior high school Chinese textbooks.For the main body, the first part, seeing from the development track, will conclude a point that the main characteristic of the development of teacher’s manual is "inheritance and development:developing new through critical assimilation of the old", from two perspectives which are the guiding ideology of compiling a complete set of teacher’s manual and the system of each unit.The second part, the teaching and the user’s perspective, the author made a line teachers use language teachers’ book, investigation of the current situation of research in the aspects including teaching reference for teachers’ teaching help the largest and most didn’t help module, CD to teacher’s help, and most expect the current teaching and increase the content of the module, mainly to understand the teacher to teach and what is your expectation, according to the survey, teachers teaching advice is the most didn’t help the module; Discussion on the teaching of the most helpful lessons columns.The third part, the perspective of teaching and text, mainly from the teaching suggestion of the text, the overall grasp and supplement into three aspects, based on the relevant concept of new curriculum standard, discusses the merits of the current high school Chinese teachers’ book,suggest a lack of scientific nature and operability, analyzed the teaching text appreciation of the oneness of relevant materials, such as insufficient attention to reading outside of the module to be improved.Finally, according to the text analysis of the teachers’book, and the investigation and analysis of the status of the use of teachers’book, the writing of the relevant Suggestions, respectively is to set up a clear teaching goal (including class teaching goal), improve the teachers’book teaching content of certainty, integration of teaching objectives and teaching content and open, the teaching advice should possess scientific and maneuverability, the diversity of relevant information, further perfect the exchange "express" and "comb to explore" the writing of the module, improve the optical disc resources, increase the teaching activity, as much as possible in order to build more meaningful language teachers’book.
