Aesthetic preference (also known as "aesthetic taste") is one of the most dynamic aesthetic psychological characteristics.It is also an important component of the individual aesthetic personality. According to the experimental method, interview method and other research methods to collect data and using SPSS 19.0 statistical software for data processing and analysis of the senior kindergarteners to paint the aesthetic preference of performance and characteristics, search for the influence of large children on different kinds of dimension paintings make a preferred choice of factors, and provide the targeted for children’s art appreciation education activity of education.Children was discussed preliminarily the paintings on colours, the content of performance, performance style, form the four dimensions of aesthetic preference for specific performance and overall performance, and generalization from three levels:the army of young children the basic characteristics of aesthetic preference in painting:the army of young children to painting aesthetic preference has relative consistency, relative stability, and is a kind of aesthetic preference of non-artistic level.Based on the analysis of the characteristics of the paintings aesthetic preference for basic of the senior kindergarteners, researchers discuss the internal cause and the external factors influencing the children of painting aesthetic preference from the two aspects. Internal factors mainly include the senior kindergarteners’ aesthetic psychological development level, gender, familiar with material, etc.; External factors mainly include the support of parents, the kindergarten art appreciation education, etc.Finally, the researchers focused on painting aesthetic preference for senior kindergarteners’basic characteristics and influencing factors, from three aspects:provide a guideline for children’s art appreciation education activities:select the appropriate paintings for army of young children to enjoy; Respect children’s aesthetic experience; Multiple senses promoted. In addition, the researchers in this study in research method, sampling and material problems existing in the aspects of the reflection.
