Game Teaching Method is one of the effective methods of teaching Chinese language for young learners overseas. It can not only increase the interest of young students to learn Chinese language, but also avoid mechanical repetition. Game Teaching Method is popular in oversea Chinese class, and enhances the teaching effects.220 middle school students and 33 volunteer Chinese teachers in Seoul were investigated in this paper. According to these investigation results, we present the correct status of game teaching method in Chinese class in Seoul, list the advantages and drawbacks, and give some advices about how to polish it in the future.Based on the literature foundations, in the second chapter, the writer mainly describes how Games Teaching Method is used the classrooms of teaching Chinese language in Seoul. This chapter introduces the survey purpose and contents design of my questionnaire, followed by the results analysis of the questionnaire for the teachers. It also describes the advantages of game playing in the classroom and the problems arising in the practice.The third chapter is about the analysis of the teaching background and the teaching objects, including the characteristics of junior middle school students, the settings and the status of Chinese language course in junior middle schools in the South Korea. Based on the results, the writer finds out the advantages of Games Teaching Method in Chinese language teachers and the expectations from students to classroom games.In the forth chapter, the writer selects "You say, I guess", "QUIZ game" and "Find a friend" three games into classroom practice. Through classroom observation and the analysis of game effects, the successes and shortcomings of the three games are summarized. In addition, through the questionnaire analysis and the effect analysis of classroom games in practice, the writer sums up the problems of Game Teaching Method in spoken Chinese classroom practices. Some appropriate solutions and coping strategies are proposed by combining with the writer’s past practical experience.The fifth chapter summarizes the innovations and future work of this paper.
