The rise of China and the improvement of its status in the world have made the "Chinese fever" spread rapidly throughout the world.Thailand,a neighboring country,even included Chinese language courses in their national education system.The popularity of Chinese in Thai primary and secondary schools has led to the development of a younger generation of Chinese language study in Thailand.The special character of Thai primary and middle school students needs more effective teaching methods for the Chinese teachers.In recent years,the game teaching method has received more and more attention in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.Many primary and secondary schools'Chinese teachers have adopted game teaching method in Chinese class,but due to the particularity of Thai culture and the young students,there are still many problems in the application of game teaching methods.This thesis is based on the researcher's internship experience in PST school in Thailand.The junior high school grade students were selected as the research objects.The researcher analyzed the teaching characteristics of the school and the students' personality,as well as their learning situation.Advantages of applying the game teaching method were also discussed in this thesis.The researcher recorded and evaluated the students' class performance,game design and the teacher's behaviors.In addition,the researcher analyzed the features of teaching games,and at the same time discussed the students'experience of each teaching game through questionnaire surveys and interviews,so as to further explore the different features of the game would bring what different feelings to students,in order to sum up which features.of the game are more popular with Thai students and how can the teacher better organize the game teaching class.By writing this paper,the researcher finds the game teaching method is in line with the character of the Thai students,it can make the class more attractive,arouse the students' interest in learning and help to achieve teaching goals.Students like interesting games,competition and rewards can make the game more interesting.When a game has more features,it will be more welcomed.This study also proposes teaching suggestions based on teacher's roles,feedback,fairness and other aspects.Hope to provide some more targeted information and references for the implementation of game teaching methods.
