The Application Of "Group Reading" In Ancient Poetry Teaching

"Group Reading" is short for "Group Reading Teaching Method", which has been a breakthrough teaching practice growing up for the last two years. "Group Reading" generally chooses a set of essays revolving around one or several topics. After that, teachers and students read and structure on the topic and reach a consensus eventually. Many provinces praise "Group Reading" teaching method highly in the recent years and practice in wide range as well. However, the main objects of the practice are the students who are in compulsory educational stage, few in senior high.In the class of Senior Chinese, ancient poetry and essay is of paramount importance, and also the process of the most Augean stables. Frontline teachers have trying to blaze new trails in order to change the present situation of ancient poetry and essay teaching and stimulate students’ enthusiasm after knowing full well the predicament of the ancient poetry and essay teaching.This paper will discourse the topic for the following aspects:(a) The concept, theory evidence and research status of "Group Reading" will be discussed in the introduction.
